All of the albums which were put out by duo have been nothing but succsess and great achievment , 4 albums at that.
Eric b aka barrier and william griffin aka rakim the god mc , teamed in 1986 . The following year they changed the history of hip hop , with the groundbraking classic "paid in full" . The following year they released "follow the leader" and the "let the rythym hit them" This album was their last !this album proves it self to be a ground breaker , one to say -"yeah ..ra is definetly the god mc " This album is strong lyrically and beats are smoothly cut.
It starts with "whats on your mind" a smooth start -ra tellin a story . But then the album takes off with a great song "teach the children" with great melody , this song is intresting and the hook is cool -the song makes you think. Then its "pass the hand grenade " and "causulties of war" both are uptempo classics , nicely done .
The its the bssy , exellently f'n dope - "res-assured" , mean song with hookin bass.
The album then mouulds nicely into place with jazz rythmatic songs and some4 beats and lyrical force. The album doesant disaoint even a bit! the you come to track 11 "dont sweat the tech" the duos most underated song ! its a GEM with a swell jazzy hook . ......What more can be said . ITS am ust have some great tunes , you will enjoy this record for its musical touch . I also reccomend the rest of the albums !
lyrics - 9/10 beats -8/10 melody 8.5/10 rythym 10/10
