5.0 out of 5 stars Forever Blue is Forever beautiful, 1 May 2002
This review is from: Forever Blue (Audio CD)
Following his mainstream sucess with 'Wicked Game' Chris Isaac released 'Forever Blue' to conflicting reviews from critics who compared this unfairly to Wicked Game.
Let me put this to you straight, if you loved Wicked game and i know no one who didnt then Forever Blue is in the same mould , arguably better.
2 of the most moving songs I have ever heard are on this album and even though 90% of the songs are excellent its worth having alone just for 'Graduation Day' and 'Changed Your Mind'both move you to a monolithic state of emotions.
However Isaac is not the only star he has fantastic support from his band 'Silvertone' they are responsible for the haunting guitars and instrumentals which leaves you feeling chilled out and uplifted.... If you love love songs and moving lyrics with beautiful background music then you'll truly love this, if however you want something more UPBEAT of Isaacs then go for 'San Francisco Days' or 'Baja Sessions'.
If none of the above I know a great self help club for the Musically deprived.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Chris Isakk cd's out, 16 Nov 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Forever Blue (Audio CD)
I think this has to be my favorite Chris Isaak cd. The sound is a mix of the baritone of Elvis Presley, the slight twang of a good country song and the voice of Lynden David Hall. His music and voice is absolutely heart stopping. Chris Isaak is in some ways a beach bum with a guitar as he has willingly portrayed in many an interview and if all it takes is some surfing to keep him writing like this, I say keep surfing! There are a lot of great songs on this cd, but my favorite is "Somebody's Cryin'" which is another fiery number.

I discovered Chris Isaak a few months ago. I now have five cd's, Baja Sessions is the purest in many ways, whilst my favourite is Always Got Tonight. This one is equally interesting with some lovely work on it.

For me good production values are critical and always present on his work which is why his music is always rich and has a lot going on. You can listen over and over again and never tire of it. Fabulous.

Love this album- Love Chris Isaak. He was going through a bit of a moody period when producing this album and the emotion can - be felt. Love Baby did a bad bad thing and Somebody's crying- definitely in touch with his emotions....

5.0 out of 5 stars What becomes of the broken hearted, 2 Aug 2012
This review is from: Forever Blue (Audio CD)
This is the ultimate 'break-up' album. It's my favorite Isaak album. Every song is great, it's bitter, it's sweet, it's sad, it's beautiful.

Get it!
