Going through some old cds as I digitise my collection, and quite surprised to see this one up for sale on here, so thought I'd give it a spin through the old system before I shred it.
So; A committee of producers/engineers get hold of some great equipment and -
forget to write any tunes.
Ok, so maybe some nice structure, build-up, anticipation, melody, loops ..?
Nothing, unless you like faux-spiritual ethnic wailing, which incidentally writes off the otherwise-promising track no.6 or 7.
Did you like that crusty/spiral tribe/megadross thing back in the day?
No, me neither.
But even if you did, this is a dozen or so very nicely-produced random sound-sets that brings to mind those sound-library recordings produced in and for editing suites.
Utterly pointless except for four bangers at the end which pick the pace up a bit and dispense with those awful samples of scientists predicting the end of the world unless you get your nose pierced and go vegan or something.
Suffice to say, this won't be making its way onto my hard drive.
Apart from that, I quite liked it.
