4.0 out of 5 stars The older songs are the best, 9 July 2003
This review is from: Best of '81 to '85 (Audio CD)
You can tell that Y&T prefer their older titles, which on this album goes all the way back to when they were called Yesterday and Today. I saw them recently on the Monsters of Rock tour of England, and the titles they chose then backs this statement up. Still, as long as it includes Rescue Me, I Beleive In You and Forever, nobody's going to complain too much. This is a fantastic introduction to Y&T. Buy it.

Really enjoyed this album - You can't go wrong with tracks like "Hurricane", "Mean Streak", "Rescue Me", "Black Tiger", "Forever", "Summertime Girls" & "I Believe In You". I even managed to cop for these live at Donington this year, 2010. Still a great rock band. Possibly an american version of Def Leppard??

This is totally awesome. All Killer - no filler as they say, and I really mean it. If you are just getting interested in Y&T then this is the perfect starter as all the songs are top notch. Dave is a fantastic singer and a brilliant guitarist who could also write excellent tunes which begs the question, why are they not filling stadiums all over the world? They are still going strong and have a new cd out this week so check them out. They Rock!!

This is the first album Ive bought by this veteran classic metal/rock band after having heard some of their tunes. I was highly impressed by the skill, talent and just stunning musicianship. Some really well written heavy rock tunes here, and it should be pointed out that the band are still going and have been for years since this first came out in 1990. They have put out many more albums since and are still touring. Well worth checking out this classic, underrated but influential band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genuinely brilliant, 8 Nov 2010

If you like Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, The Who or anyone in that general vein, you will love Y&T. Although they are not terribly well known in the UK, they sure as heck should be! This is a great album, with every song being a masterpiece of guitar work. If you're into incredible guitar playing (actually guitar playing, not just shredding all over the place!!), harmonies, great vocals and a strong driving force of drums and bass, this is the album for you. Memorable tunes and great lyrics! This is definitely one of the best albums I have bought this year. Now, go buy it!
