GG.....you're obviously a big Joe Walsh fan! "OAG" is not one of our Joe's better-known titles, but it's a very creditable effort from the early nineties. Not all the album comes out of the top drawer, but there are plenty of pleasing moments.

It's almost an album of two halves, quite honestly. The first few tracks set the listener up for a distinctly ordinary, average recording. But things immediately get very good on "All Of A Sudden", which harks back to JW's golden days. Likewise with the whole of the second side of the LP. ("Look At Us Now" and onwards, on the cd.) He does a good interpretation of "You Might Need Somebody" (unrecognisable from the Randy Crawford hit), and the "Prelude"/"School Days" closer is very satisfying, even if the guitar solo is a bit "Joe Walsh-by numbers" in style.

All in all, this must have been a welcome return to form after Joe's relatively lacklustre output of the eighties.

Yet again JW has his finger on the pulse. helped out by Joe Vitale who even sings on 'school days' this finds the band in fine form pleading with us We really are just ordinary average guys! that some times record music. You never see plumber's servicing a boiler in the mall with a cap on the ground beggin for your lose change, so why hussle a guy you reconize who played guitar on some album you own, I get his point!!anyway songs one and two bring out the JW clever lyric parts again on tracks four five and six brilliant I recommend this to all!
