5.0 out of 5 stars Back when we had summers.
As Billy Bragg once pointed out, the sun always shone when Dodgy played the festivals and, in many respects they never managed to shake off that novelty tag. This fine album should however convince anyone of their musical value.
It's a filler-free collection which doffs a cap to 'Sell Out' period Who. Upbeat and eager to please, there is a definite Englishness to...

4.0 out of 5 stars not that dodgy, 2 Jan 2004
This review is from: Free Peace Sweet (Audio CD)
right lets start by saying that dodgy are one of those bands who are always gonna be known for one song and thats good enough . back in the summer of 96 . to me 1995 and 1996 were the best years for british music since the 60s. dodgy were one of those groups who rode on the back of success of oasis and blur in the britpop era. but free peace sweet is a gem in its own right with in a room and thinking of you as stand out tracks. groups like dodgy such as ash and elastica were bands that were good and you remember certain songs from them . but dodgy put the pop into britpop giove this album a spin you wont regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Album, 29 July 2011
This review is from: Free Peace Sweet (Audio CD)
This is in my opinion one of the best albums ever made and on a par with any of the Beatles output and I say that as a massive Beatles fan.

Strong melodies, glorious harmonies, wonderful riffs. Not a bad song on here and the more you listen to it the more you will find to appreciate.

4.0 out of 5 stars an intresting album that is diffinately a classic, 5 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Free Peace Sweet (Audio CD)
Dodgy has produced some of the most poinent indie music of the early nineties. There sound has a folk feel to it which doesn't remind you of morris dancers. Prey for drinking fantastically combiens banjo with guitar which has excellent results. If your thinking of me is an exellent ballard and with good enough also in the album it proves they can tackle a wide range of styles and still produce a good sound.
