4.0 out of 5 stars First Band in the World??, 11 Jan 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: First Band On The Moon (Audio CD)
Personally, i think that this album contains some of the Cardigans best stuff. Its just got a hook which makes it addictive listening, yet its also great for relaxing and revising to. Ninas vocals breeze effortlessly through all the tracks, of which Iron man, Choke and Your New Cukcoo are my favourite- although they are all good. Perhaps the worst is Love fool, its just a bit too sweet, sickly and overplayed.
If you liked Emmerdale and Long Gone then i suggest you buy this now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic mix between Pop and Indie, 23 Nov 1999
This review is from: First Band On The Moon (Audio CD)
Although you may say that the Cardigans are now an Indie group, it is in this album that we notice the changeover. In this album, we would suggest from the lyrics that this infact is indie music. But the ever heavenly voice of Nina Persson in this album sings at pop level.
This album, like Emmerdale, Life and Gran Turismo is superb. This must be bought.
And can I just say....Nina Persson is the most attractive girl I have ever seen. Chris McAteer

5.0 out of 5 stars A gorgeous pop album, 13 Sep 2013

This is an excellent album and I would recommend it to anyone who likes this band. Lovely vocals from Nina Persson and great atmospheric guitar-work from Peter Svensson. The short and sweet pop here (Lovefool, Your New Cuckoo) is very different from their follow-up album 'Gran Turismo', which is more serious, but, buy both and compare them for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best band ever created!, 27 April 2002

This review is from: First Band On The Moon (Audio CD)
this record will b a favourite of mine forever. i must say, "1st band on the moon" is one of the best records i've eva heard. it has unique vocals from my gal nina persson, bengt plays his drums brilliantly on the track, "never recover". it has everything. i personally feel all four of their albums are superb. after listening to this record, you'll have the urge to buy ther other three albums. you'll will not be disappointed, if you listen to this record. i hope "the cardigans" fifth record has all music elements (indie rock, pop, jazz, rock..etc!) as featured on their first four. go & buy it now! chop chop.
