In the great scheme of things, Third World is a sadly neglected band. Think of reggae with a bit of funk, a loose jamming vibe and some rather unlikely smash hits, and you come up with this package.
The stand-outs are the three live tracks starting CD2, but if you have never heard the first ever track on CD1, you're in for a treat. It always did intrigue me, starting off at a lope and gradually increasing speed.. promising something fascinating.
In the event, the band went for commercial glory rather than fiery political respectability, and you can hear how they did it on this intelligent collection. But they are skilled at what they do and .. it sounds almost like an insult these days.. truly melodic. Good band, great tunes, and you can't help get into the groove.
This a very good value CD for its price - even comes with its own booklet.
You'll enjoy it..

Contrary to the other review...this is NOT the 2 cd edition!!!! This one cd edition may well be worth the current cheap price tag but know what you are buying and what tracks you are not getting on this disc.. the track listing above is the correct listing.
