This album could be described as the record any bluesman would like to make. With traditional electric blues numbers as well as classic slide guitar solos, Hammond seems takes you through the entire Blues timeline of the last 100 years. Love Changing Blues stands out for me as the song which best exemplifies Hammonds adoration for the early delta blues style, but also allows his voice to be heard as it should be. But there are other tracks such as the opening Just Your Fool which take you back through the rock and roll blues of the 60s and 70s, and point early hints to the future collaboration with Tom Waits for Wicked Grin. Overall this is just a great blues record by a great bluesman.
