if it weren't for the tragic death of the lead singer, lynn strait, this band would be bigger than slipknot(not that slipknot are good or anything...!) It's sound is so fresh and works so well, imagine koRn with some deftones combined with a better mudvayne and add some punk riffs- and rap-alot-really fast-just rap some more...just to make sure and you nearly have this band.
They aren't what you expect! the name could be a little put-offish, but listen to the first track ,"Snot", is the perfect appetizer to what follows in the album. the bass solo about half way through the track is (and i seriously mean this) one of the best riffs i have ever heard. the vocals impress throughout, rangeing from the full on "i'm hard-core and i'm gonna kick your ass" to the more gentle and harmonic varieties.
Buy this album! there is not one weak track on this album it truly kicks ass
(my balls your chin is funny!)
It deserves 6 stars, up the rating system!!!!!

THE BEST HARDCORE BAND IN THE WORLD.
Aggressive vocals. Amazing Solo's. Melodic Guitar lines, and punchy bass riffs. Unfortunately Lynn Straight's death was a tragegy to us all. Mike Dolling (guitar) went to 'Soulfly' and the bass player joined 'Amen'. Even though they released one official album, it's still as insperational and groundbreaking as is was then as it is today. The use of Wah Wah and distortion with Lynn's powerful yet understandable vocals gives the band a sound, different to anything you have ever heard before. BUY IT I DARES YA TO.

Theres only one word that really describes GET SOME...perfect. Every song is a master piece, every riff stunning, every scream from lynn strait (rest in peace) beautiful.
Snot, Stoopid and Get Some are easily 3 of the absolute finest songs of all time, by any band in any genre. After listing to GET SOME you should see where bands like Dry Kill Logic and Amen (although they are forgiven due to Sonny Mayo an John Tumor) get most of their influence.
If you like heavy music you have to own this album..for one simple reason....it rules!

A good alround album, but with no real oustanding material, Snot never quite reach the peaks you feel they should. Get Some is still a good album, and if it weren't for the tragic death of lead singer Lyn Stait, Snot could well have established themselves as one of the best bands in their genre. Songs like "I jus' Lie", "Snot" and "Unplugged" would have been crowd pleasures at any live show, only it's a shame that noone will ever hear what Snot could have been REALLY capable of.

I had never heard of Snot when I got this album but WHOA! it is good. "SNOT" has to be one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard and its a shame that there will obviously be be no more albums from them (dammit) but I must recomend the Snot Tribute album (damn good too) SNOT ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST METAL BAND EVER, Dont CONSIDER buying it, just buy it!
