Well for those of you who have 'Them',this is the continuation of the story with King now much older returning to the old house to try and connect with his dead sister?Another concept album from the King and another blinder. The production is much better on this album and with the same line up as 'them'the songs are a little slicker.Kings vocals are slightly better on the ears this time round with the better mix and it makes it easier listening.I'm glad to say that the guitaring is of the same caliber as 'them' and indeed again there are some blinding and memorable solo's and harmony work. The songs aren't as technical as 'Them' but there are some great tunes here, such as Sleepless Nights,Victimized and an excellent instrumental Cremation.Another classic King Diamond from the past and well worth picking up if you like any of his stuff, definately one of the best he's done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good indeed, 17 Aug 2001
This review is from: Conspiracy (Reissue) (Audio CD)
From what I have heard on this CD and from other people, this is a continuation on Kings previous CD "Them" (Which I have decided to obtain at the next oppertunity). This is a concept CD, something King is hardly unfamiliar with as almost all his albums have a story. I will not give the plot of the story away as one of the joys that come from listening to Kings albums is listening to the masterfully written story unfold before your very ears.
The music does not take a back seat to Kings chilling falsetto wailing however. Beautiful riffs and creative solos adorn the tracks, as well as some keyboards to make the music all the more creepy.
Its hard for me to pick a favourite track off this album as I love them all! If I had to then I would pick the opener, "At The Graves" which sent chills down my back when I heard it!
All in all another gem from the master storyteller. I suggest you purchase "Them" first, then "Conspiracy" as the story will make more sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars the king, 6 Feb 2013
This review is from: Conspiracy (Reissue) (Audio CD)
king diamond is back and i thought id get some of the earlier stuff that i had on vinyl but lost over the years. this album is awesome, a real creepy unique sound, excellent dark melodies, usual ace guitar parts, tight drumming and the kings ethereal vocals. sleepless nights was a single i think or at least a video and is just one of the many excellent tracks. for all lovers of all types of metal this is a must.
