The classic Anti Flag album. Of all their releases this combines the bass driven music with lyrics influenced by a troubled world. Catchy songs with subject matter ranging from wannabe squatters who come from well-off homes (Squatter Go Home) to the unseen eye of the big brother state (Police State in the USA), the hypocracy in punk rock today (Do the Same), or the fact that men and women can't walk home at night safely after dark (Safe Tonight). Anti Flag make our societies troubles and fears come alive on wax (or CD as the case may be!) and address them intelligently and fluently. Tired as though the image might be, this band are perveyors of the spikes and leather look, but this time the musical and lyrical delivery backs the image up, and that they won't get laughed at by cliche-hunters. Top tune: Rotten Future, a tune about the laziness of punks who just sit and moan, rather than actively want to change their world.
