Very detailed map for tourists. It gives all the information you need as it's double sided. Very clever as you can use non permanent marker on the map and wipe it clean agin for your next trip. Neat idea.
A tough two sided map with plenty of detail - Its only been used for planning our trip so far (not going until July) but it's been really useful for that. It's suprisingly strong and wipe cleanable which usually adds bulk to maps but as Malta is so small the map is still really compact! I think it will be really useful if you're planning to do any travelling on the island (and why else would you be there!) whether by bike, public transport, car or on foot. It's not OS standard but it's still far more detailed than I was expecting and hopefully will get us to lots of places off the beaten track.
this map has sufficient to travel around malta and gozo without the need for any further maps. Or, almost... road signage in Malta and Gozo is often, lets say, disappointing. Try and get a public transport map locally. It will have all the bus routes on it and they are all very easily identifyable through the bus stop signs which are more abundant and accurate then actual road signs. We used them constantly to "cross reference".
Two titles that go hand in hand. One clear fold up and write-on map showing popular hotels and sight locations and the pocket guide to enlighten practically everything the visitor wants to know from the mundane to the archeological gems found off the beaten track with adequate description. Hidden swimming areas and where the locals eat, drink and be merry. These two items go together like cheese and crackers.
I found this map very useful. I hate the thin paper ones that rip and blow in your face when you are trying to find anything. It's very clear, has lots of additional info and close ups of Valletta and Gozo... you can't go wrong if you are driving in Malta. I would definitely also recommend either a sat nav or the excellent new iphone 'maps' app (the one supplied) as you can download the route when you have wifi (or pop onto data roaming for a few minutes) and it will take you to your destination turn by turn without needing to use any roaming data en-route. The drivers are very erratic in Malta and the road signs are almost none existant (and if there are any, they are generally at the point where you need to turn rather than in advance) so although the map is very useful for planning, the advice above made the driving experience much more enjoyable.
The substance that all maps should be made of. It's easy to use and so very travel friendly. We were so impressed that we immediately ordered 4 more for various destinations that we will be visiting in upcoming trips abroad.
I always buy a map of the area for my holiday, as we usually hire a car. Probably won't in Malta as the bus service looks fun and easy to use, but even so this map has a lot of useful info and glad I bought it.
