4.0 out of 5 stars warm and fuzzy, 9 April 2006
This review is from: Cairo Cats: Egypt's Enduring Legacy (Paperback)
Being a cat lover, even having one in my lap as I type, I follow cats in the Arab world, feeding them and hoping to make new friends with them. When I get one tame enough he comes back to me purring, I get all warm and fuzzy. So when I found this book in Cairo with its informational text on Islam, I needed to buy many of these books. Unfortunately, the bookstore didn't take credit cards or I would have bought them out. The one book I got, I gave away as a birthday gift to a Moslem girl who loves cats and is only finding out about their habits. I am happy to have learned quite a bit about Islam and Mohammed in this pictorial. Some pages are a disappointment having the cats cropped in unusual ways, but the overall idea and product of the book is worth buying many of them and giving them away to other cat lovers as well as to your Moslem friends who may not like cats, to show them that Mohammed did and they have to start taking care of them.
