5.0 out of 5 stars Vivid and brilliant story but some bits are boring, 13 Nov. 2001
By A Customer
Jane Eyre is a compelling life story of (of course) Jane Eyre. It has so many twists, turns and dark secrets that it is difficult to get bored. However it is not impossible, as the book is a slow starter. She starts life unhappily and starts to go to boarding school at around the age of ten. As soon as she finishes her school years, she becomes a governess. She begins to fall in love with her employer and soon after he asks her to marry him she runs away. She stays with her cousins (that fact is unknown to her then) and her cousin (now known as a cousin) asks her to marry him. She says no, and tries to find her employer, Mr Rochester... Charlotte Bronte is a truly great author.
By Annabel Edwards. ( age 9 but soon 10)
