espectacular resumen de la tragica historia de despojo de Amèrica Latina. Ayuda a entender de dònde proviene el actual estado socioeconòmico de la regiòn. I've written to the seller three times to request a refund, but they wouldn't even answer my emails. NOT RECOMMENDED.

5.0 out of 5 stars creation of modern South America, 21 Oct 2009

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Open Veins of Latin America is an interesting interpretation of the thinking behind what motivates current Latin American politics.
A must for all students of Latin American politics and economic history. Whilst not always agreeing to the authors interpretation of events it is still a must read to gain a wider understanding of the background on the future developments of a still volatile major continent of the world.

Incredible book, a must read. Need to think about the time when it was written (late sixties in southamerica) to fully understand the writer's point of view.

5.0 out of 5 stars History of how Europe rapes LATINAMERICA, 11 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Amazing look into the history of how the European countries fought and conquered LatinAmetica in order to keep an entire continent in slavitude, financial dependency and force feed them a false history, religion and a European way of life. A book that is still banned in South America but everyone has read it.
