This book stands up well with other books that deal extensively with shells.
Following a general section which discusses mollusks, variety of form, use of shells, habitat, classification and collection.
Species described are divided into 6 groups-polyplacopora,monoplacopora,gastropoda,bivalvia,scaphopoda and cephalopoda.
For each species there is a picture plus dimensions, shape, ornamentation, colour, habitat, world distribution, rarity and special remarks.
Very well written with excellent pictures. There is s taxonomic review bibliography and glossary.
Highly recommended.
