4.0 out of 5 stars The survival of the Templars
An interesting modern day Italian police story which regresses to the origins of the Turn Shroud, and its connections to the Templar knights. Somewhat similar in format to the Da Vinci code but at the same time informative and keeps the eye on the page.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice use of past and current events being linked to the plot
A little bit Da Vinci esque, but no way near academic enough to make it sound plausable or exciting.
I started reading it, after a year, still havent finished reading it...not gripping enough for my liking, however for those with more patience, it may well be not a bad read.

The number of fires in Turin cathedral is strangely high and the author has managed to formulate a reason for this - the pace is fast moving and the end dramatic. If you have any interest in history or the Templars this is for you - worth the effort of the long read.
