Anything written by Swami Satyananda is worth reading. His down-to-earth, common sense approach to Kundalini tantra is always accessible and informative.
This book is no exception, and contains many practices, ranging from pranayama, throgh Nada Yoga, Mantra Siddhi, Ajapa japa,Yoga Nidra, Prana Vidya right up to Kundalini kriyas, that can accelerate the yogi/yogini's journey to Moksha. There are no sexual practices in this book.
The main drawback is that there is no instruction on how to work through the exercises progressively with a daily practice programme, the student being left to their own devices. Hence I have found that this book is best used as an adjunct to a course provided by a member of Swamiji's order (Swami Anandakapila, in my case.) The adventurous student can then expand on the exercises provided by the teacher by using the material in this book.
Some of Swamiji's instructions can be a little repetitive and confusing and will benefit from some judicious bullet-pointing by the student.
All in all though, this is a treasure trove of practices and information for the serious student of Kundalini Tantra.
