This review is from: Lingua Universalis: Global Wordless Understanding (Paperback)
I have ordered Lingua Universalis after buying the "Tres Logos", both from the same publisher. I knew that the product will be of high quality and I was not mistaken. When you take the book to the hand you know that the money you spend were worth it. It is just pleasure to hold it. The cover is rubber laminated, pages are thick and the print is just excellent.

Lingua Universalis is a small album of over 1000 symbols and icons created by 'Mutabor'. Do not be mistaken it is not the 'logo' design book, but it is still a great source of inspiration. 'Mutabor' collection presented shows the thought behind every each symbol, you know straight away without looking at the description what is the meaning of the symbol - this is 'wordless' communication. Personally I find this album as a source of inspiration when designing icons which are the background for the website, e.g icons for 'proceed to check out' 'shipping' things like that, but there is much more you will find useful.

The only complain could be the high price, but the book is great quality which is worth of spending few extra pounds.

I gave four stars because of the price.
