Reflections is the most beautiful book full of deeply suggestive and sensual images. Argentini has captured the mystery and almost secretive intimacy of the shots, revealing so much in a conspiratorial way.
The women are absolutely stunning and I adore the opulence of the surroundings in many of the photos which adds to the feeling that you are being drawn into a gorgeous private boudoir as a silent bystander. The moods captured in the photos range from self appreciative, flagrantly sexy, exhibitionistic, retrospective and wistful. Although I love black and white images, some of the coloured shots are so rich, striking and evocative that they are completely breathtaking. As a woman I find this book highly erotic as every image is exquisitely tasteful, however explicit, and it is my decadent pleasure to peruse on a lazy Sunday morning with my partner or at any time I desire to be captivated by these compelling, mesmerising, sensual images. The thickness and superb finish of the pages along with the size and significant weight of the book itself add to its luxuriousness, making it a absolutely wonderful gift.

I did not think anything about this book when I ordered it, so it arrived and simply put it on the table like the other junk, but... when I opened the package I was speechless.

I study photography and I love erotic images, mirrors and beauty, well this book have everything that visually pleases the eyes. strong colours, elegance and words cannot describe how beautiful this photographer had captured the beauty of being a woman.

Even if you are not interested in photography, student or what ever, this book is a delight for anyone, images that you look over and over again, believe me is well worth it. Reflections

First impression, big book, well produced, but perhaps when I first saw it, it reminded me of "soft porn," a bit of titillation and perhaps a quick flick through to get some boost.

Second glance however details a deeper imagination at work, than just Playboy for the 21st Century.

Yes the models are wonderful, shimmering, alluring and beautiful, probably not the girl next door, yes the settings are brimmming with bourgeois opulence, big bright hotel rooms and high rent flats, but what he catches within the confines is an undefined shadowed sensuality.

In an ideal non air brushed world, all women would have the confidence to be so definite about themselves and their bodies. These are obviously staged pictures of women exploring themselves in intimate sensual fragments of time, but it appears, somehow, they have shut the camera off, and adopted a persona which exists as though they are by themselves, whilst embarking upon a self reflecton. It is this quality which shines through the various layers and suspension of belief on the part of the viewer.

If you look this good why not take a look? In most situations you have to cover up because the others will be throwing barbs because they are jealous.

The pictures are "art," because of the setting and composure, as they are composed to tease the reader. I can see why they both appeal to men and women in their frank suggestiveness. Argentini has clicked the lens to create a special moment in time and then capture it. The pictures are based upon women's beauty without any cries of misogynist pain, the desire to crush and crumple their sensuality of the women within an overarching sense of power. Instead they speak for themselves. Gone is that Poe notion of the "romantic death."

Refreshingly, he has captured the beauty from a non-segregated world traversing Asia, Africa and Europe to bring the curves, thighs and sighs of women caught within a self gaze, caught in fragments. However the reflections offer a variety of settings and artistic glimpses which bring this huge book to the fore.

Acts as a catalyst to the imagination without colonising it with the desire to dominate, which is bought constantly within the staple fayre of porn. This places women on a plinth rather than degrades them, and brings about a general sense of awe.

After all these are someone's daughters and sisters as well as lovers.

I bought this because Private Rooms was so good and,at the Amazon price, both seemed a good buy. I thought that the 'reflections' theme was perhaps a silly artefact but because looking in the mirror is such a daily and natural act the poses are less contrived than in many collections of nudes. A bonus is that there is a three-dimensional depth to the pictures because you see the same figure from more than one viewpoint. As in 'Private Rooms' the technical quality is superb and the models gorgeous and natural. If you want a book of naughty pictures then go elsewhere but if you want a tasteful and artistic feast of beautiful naked women in interesting poses and surroundings then this book is it.

Having previously collected the 'Changing Rooms' book by the same artist I had high hopes for 'Reflections'. Sadly there are far too many blank pages and arty-farty out-of-focus photos that almost any child could take. It just doesn't hit the spot.
