4.0 out of 5 stars the book is useful but buy a used one !!!!
The book has many useful contents, yes they might be in other books,i.e Taylor's, Gregory's,
but if You decide to by the Knudsen's, by one of the older editions, because this glued edition fragments itself
from the first moment of use, pages loose very quickly and disappointly....
Use Your money for previous or used ones that have sewn bindings.

1.0 out of 5 stars The way of pain
This book is very, very outdated when it comes to layout, it's way of describing things and the way formulae are treated. Very often it says stuff like "combining formulae 21 to 38 and 46 to 52 you get:" . There are very few useful explanations. Reading this book is true pain if you're counting on to teach you mechanics (had a useless lecturer and this was the recommended...

Reading this book is true pain if you're counting on to teach you mechanics (had a useless lecturer and this was the recommended literature). It is slow reading through it, very little "talking" and a lot of confusion. Don't get it. There are so many other very good books on mechanics that I don't see why anyone would pick this one.
