5.0 out of 5 stars Not only a beautiful read, but fascinating also, 6 Feb 2002
Filled with beautiful stills from the featured Cinematographers' best work and their stories. A fascinating read for someone who rarely gets to experience the behind-the-camera part of film. Not only is it informative about the underrated work of DoPs (Directors of Photography) but the elegant style makes a life in film all the more appealing...

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful over view of the art of cinematography, 30 Oct 1999
By A Customer
This is an impressive book which offers an insight into the art and skill of a director of photography.
As a film director I can only recommend it to everyone. I can even think of several professional DoP's who would benefit greatly from this.
