This book is called Everyday Bags Inspired by Travel - Scandinavian countries, England, France, Italy, the States..' My first thought was that these are hardly everyday bags because they are so fabulous, but on reflection I realize what is meant because the bags are practical and useful, if far more beautiful than everyday. Don't be put off by the French. There are loads of photos to help you make the projects and full-size patterns. If you do get stuck, you can always type some of the instructions into a free translation service such as Google Translate and get an approximate translation. Maybe it is even a chance to make friends with a French-speaking colleague or neighbour!

What a lovely book this is and although its written in French with full detailed diagrams you don't need to be fluent to follow the instructions. I've followed Yoko Saito's Japanese version of one of her books and still been able to make things from it.

another amazing book by the Master quilter Yoko Saito - don't let the fact it's in French put you off. It is easy enough to work out from the diagrams and patterns.

A challange for any patchworker. Written in French, but has clear instructions and pictures to guide you along. Worth having.
