World renowned interior designers May and Axel Vervoodt enjoy a stylish and international lifestyle !This beautifully produced book is a record of that , and May's modern and unusual recipes are refreshingly different .Simple easy food using familiar , and not so familiar , ingredients .The photography is superb , and the whole book is inspirational . I couldn't wait try the recipes out , and the results have been delicious and healthy , which doesn't often happen !

Beautiful photos but recipes are not very impressive. It's more a coffee table book with lovely photos than a workable cookery book. The book has a bit of a self-satisfied feel to it, as if the Vervoordt emporium want to show off their wonderful achievements, which, no doubt they have. But this book does not contribute anything to cooking. It's more a book to show what a wonderful hostess his loving wife is than to inspire us with new wonderful cooking. In other words: every man to his own trade. The Vervoordt emporium is second to none with regard to interior decorating, but cooking is not their forte. There are countless wonderful chefs out there who do a much better job.
