OK but not as good as older versions of their maps
on 13 August 2013
I had previously bought the Michelin maps of France and Germany which I was very happy with. When I got this I was disappointed that the paper was very thin and therefore appeared easy to tear. I have used it for a month touring Italy and none of the pages have torn yet so perhaps I was being over cautious. Also irritatingly the book keeps producing little bits of paper from the cut holes which get all over the car. A minor point but something my previous books didn't do. The most annoying was the lack of detail compared to the France and Germany maps. There appeared to be many villages (not so small either) that were not mentioned in the map. I managed to navigate successfully for a month so there is nothing intrinsically wrong with the map but I just think it could be better. As it seems to be the only one out there and it does the job I would still recommend it.
