Dirty electricity has been linked to cancer, obesity, ADHD, depression, diabetes and other diseases of the modern age. Written by an expert it provided conclusive evidence that some electrical equipment and power lines are making us sick - but as with tobacco, those in authority are not prepared to do anything about it.

As WiFi and the use of handheld technology increases we may be facing a surge in the deaths of uneducated users. If you are worried about dirty electricity in your home or workplace you can buy a metre and filters for your home (a kit is available on ebay for about £500), but best of all you'll turn off your WiFi when it's not in use, and reduce your computer/mobile phone/TV use.

This is an excellent read. A short book written as a biography with plenty of science to back up the authors claims.

Just to make clear from the outset: I don't dispute the basic idea that electromagntic fields can have serious, damaging, effects on biological systems; for a basic explanation just read Dr. Robert Becker's "The Body Electric" [and be worried].

The problem with "Dirty Electricity" is that it really doesn't offer any new evidence or explanation. There are lots of examples of the illnesses claimed to be directly attributable to power fields - particulalrly those supposedly due to various frequency-modulations imposed on what should ideally be a clean sine-wave domestic supply [US 60 Hz] by power-spikes, half-wave rectification, and suchlike - but very little explanation of just how these cause their side-effects. Lots of claims, but little in the way of solid proof.

Perhaps this shouldn't be a surprise, since Dr. Milham is an epidemiologist, so causal explanations are not really his field [no pun intended], but this is a very slim volume that at times just reads like a C.V. for the author, and at other times like an advertisment for various 'field meters' and clean-up devices to bought mail order.

This is a book by a very influential epidemiologist (medical statistician) who performed a range of important scientific studies in his career. The book is a fairly easy read and very convincing in his exposition of rather shockingly high levels of illness induced by the health effects of electrical pollution in building wiring in the US. Also the range of illnesses which are made better by reducing exposure are surprising.

Sam is an epidemiologist - so he only really does the big picture stuff and not the scianctifics of how it may work. BUT it's a very convincing account of how electricity is an important factor in causing the widespread diseases of modern civilisaton.

Very helpful and informative in educating me about the causes of "dirty electricity" carried by electrical wiring and it's effect on our health.

Everyone should be aware about this kind of contamination. Electricity is not a joke, wireless is not a joke too.

Gives you some facts on the subject. This is not a riveting read, more like a reference document.

It is obvious that this book is written by someone who cares about the ongoing effects of this invisible potential killer. A great book, backed up by years of research, which will point you in the way to clean up your own electrical environment with the obvious health benefits that will follow.

Sam Milham is a brave man indeed, taking on the establishment and showing how corrupt and how complicit government and district school agencies can be putting corporate interests ahead of children and adult safety. Not a massive book but essential reading.
