Jonathon Livingston Seagull when first published was an amazing book however the reader had to be at a particular stage in their own life to fully grasp its true meaning. This could be said of all Bach's books although thought provoking and interesting how they are enjoyed is as much about the reader as the writer!
This particular book in some way does not reach into the heart and soul as deeply as his previous work.
Touching though it may be in parts the message Bach hopes to convey will not be to everyones taste. Yes one can dip in and out of it at will but the journey to further self discovery is not encouraged as in his previous more brilliant writings.
