This thirtieth volume of the brilliant `Negima!' manga sees Governor-General Goedel continue to tell Negi about his parents before giving him an offer to join forces to defeat Negi's enemies. Meanwhile however the rest of Ala Alba have been watching the exchange between Negi and Goedel but while they are readying themselves to make a quick getaway they are interrupted by some unwanted gate-crashes.

This is another extremely good volume of `Negima!' with a great mixture of background revelations, some nice exposition of Goedel's gaols, good plot advancement and some brilliant action scenes. As well as this the volume has many very funny moments as you would expect from the series. The series is definitely the best manga I have ever read and this volume leaves things in a very interesting place.

This thirtieth volume of `Negima!' is probably one of my favourites from the series as a whole and is well worth a full five stars.
