Scott Pilgrim is back, and having conquered the world, he's apparently taking on the universe. Featured are Japanese killer robots, themed parties, strange cats and Ramona succumbs to glowing pains.
The darkest of the the books so far, O'Malley builds on the excellent work of the last four books and sets the story up beautifully for the final volume (out 2010). The direction the book goes in is somewhat unexpected, with an unhealthy dose of reality/unreality being heaped upon our heroic couple. I don't really want to say much more for fear of spoiling it. However, if you're still not sure, the first edition features a super-sparkly cover, so buy it now before the shine runs out!

I have to say this is a great read and visually pleasing! This is a series I would recommend to anyone, with its mix fantasy/reality, manga style art, the characters, good story and importantly (from my view point) the videogame references (experience points, extra lifes etc). I'll admit it does end on a cliff hanger but if you have followed the series so far it won't matter and for those that haven't WHY?!
