5.0 out of 5 stars What any designer needs
Before reading H-Point, car design simply meant how a car looks. H-Point put that to rest. 'Design is packaging'. This is the philosophy of the book. Every illustration (and there are more of these than words) is clear, concise, labelled, to scale and accurate.
Furthermore, there are design exercises that are perfect for anyone who is interested, or just bored...

1.0 out of 5 stars Real Vehicle Packaging Knowledge
Basically, i bought this book thinking that i was going to read something of interest beings as it was so colourfully described,by the authors.

As far as i am concerned, Actually speaking as a Packaging Expert(not just my words) but as a renowned spokes person in the field, i find this book a complete insult.

It is written from a Styling Perspective...

It is written from a Styling Perspective and is so Basic it hurts.
All of the Pictures are Very Old and Very Basic, with lots of Styling Sketches.
Most of the Technical verb is from SAE, and basically Most of this is NOT used anymore.

Anyone wanting to learn about Car Design, NEEDS EXPERIENCE.
