Dull, long winded, over-priced,
By
This review is from: Breatheology: The Art of Conscious Breathing (Perfect Paperback)
Lots of fluff, could have been edited down to half the size.Long on spurious eastern ideas, short on practical information. Way too many anechdotes and "studies say" - the book is full of pseudo-science yet there are no footnotes or sitations of proper scientific works. There are better books out there eg Umberto Pelizzari.

Disappointing,

I was really disappointed with this book, especially given the high price. There was relatively little on breathing exercises (my main reason for buying the book) but lots on a rather eclectic mix of yoga, mindfulness, chakras, diet etc - all of which I already know about and are covered better in other books.

The book was even better than expected. With easy and approachable tips and excersises which are very easy to become everyday-life habits. I strongly suggest this book to everyone-athletes, people with chronic deseases, everyone of us.

This is a truly wonderful book. Stig Severinsen makes a relatively tricky and complex topic accessible to the average reader. The tools and exercises that I learned in this book are powerful, in terms of increasing oxygen uptake and capacity of your lungs, one may feel the benefits of the presented exercises in a relatively short time. The book is an intro and a follow up by Stig would be nice, which I would certainly buy, but although it covers basics, the book delves into a lot of things (including a section on Pranayama Yoga), and I highly recommend it!

Why unavailable?,
This review is from: Breatheology: The Art of Conscious Breathing (Perfect Paperback)
This sounds like a fascinating book so I am confused as to why it is not being stocked by Amazon UK. Does anyone know if it is available in the UK from another retailer?
