5.0 out of 5 stars A worthy contribution to the debate on debates, 11 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Richard King has written an eloquently argued book on why debate has become so vitriolic both on the internet and in the press. Grounded in an astute historical analysis, he argues that the root of this vitriol is in identity politics and derives from political correctness and its adversary from the right, anti-PC.
He also shows why this is so important to the world we now live in, and what we can all do about it.
He has written a clear and easy to digest book which you should read if you are interested in why the internet and the press has become such a unpleasant experience in recent times.
I really enjoyed it. As much of the pleasure is in the elegant prose as in the argument. Bravo.
