Short and to the point! The historical background is very significant, and the examples in the book are interesting. The development in Europe and EUs shortage of
true democracy is not a good sign for the future of Europe. However, books like "What have we done" is very important in this respect.
And it is indeed possible ( I hope ) to return to true democracy before it is too late.

A very good, concise summary of how we arrived at the present unsatisfactory situation.
Hopefully people in many other member countries will agree.
We will all benefit if the EU can be reformed.

A good book. We really should have only joined the EU for trade. Look how Switzerland are prospering. They have left us far behind. Arrived very rapidly

Makes you think that if we were all aware of the true cost of our membership, not least in terms of lost democracy, any referendum would be a foregone conclusion.

4.0 out of 5 stars What have we done indeed, 1 Mar. 2015

Although somewhat dated this is an excellent book on what I would call the subversive doctrine of the European ruling class. The British people had no idea that a common market so called trade agreement was in fact a hidden political agenda whose aim was the erosion of democracy in nation states. It is now obvious that the major political parties buy into this EU superstate ...... we have sold our democratic heritage for a mess of potage I doubt we can get it back.......

States quite straight-forwardly what a lot of people in the legal game have been saying for years, amongst other things. This is the fact that handing over the power to govern the UK to a foreign power, the EU, is constitutionally illegal. Read it.
