5.0 out of 5 stars Overdue critique, 16 Jan 2012
By

This review is from: The Rise of the Equalities Industry (Paperback)
This is a thoroughly researched critique of egalitarianism as practised in this country over the last decades. It is a partisan account, and so what? The dearth of comment and debate about this dominant ideology, and its overarching structures, insinuated into a parliamentary democracy with no mandate asked of electors, is testament to its essential totalitarianism. I would be interested to read a riposte from the other side, but fear that the two sides in this debate might as well be speaking different languages for what engagement they are likely to make with each other.

5.0 out of 5 stars The descent of Britain, 2 Sep 2012

Soundly researched and brilliantly written, the author confirms my worst fears for a totalitarian Britain where input and process are abandoned as the monkey tries to get the cork back in (old joke).

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't fault the logic, 15 April 2012
This review is from: The Rise of the Equalities Industry (Paperback)
What I love about this book is that the case is put so clearly and elegantly. In places it is so beautifully logical that I laughed out loud - sometimes it made me want to commit it to calligraphy to frame and put on the wall. I haven't finished it yet, and I'm not sure that I agree with all of it, but it is a joy to read and to consider.
