Good read - could be better
on 2 September 2011
I bought this book to learn about the Boxster when looking to buy one.
It ticks most of the boxes, answering many of the new user questions.
It could, for me, have been improved by including more model year data (ie what changed in which year) and also included more of the "enthusiast" modifications (like clear lights etc) which would have aided the prospective buyer and new owner with cash to play with. The book does cover a few modifications, but stops short considering the many common ones.
I feel that some of the tables (service information for example) should have been parked at the end in an appendix rather than being digested into the body of the text as this detracts from a good read and is irrelevant to most readers as servicing will be trusted to a main dealer or independant.
No regrets with the purchase, but feel the author should have got a non-Boxster owner to review and comment before release!
