5.0 out of 5 stars Concise and accessible guidance - recommended
This is a small publication (and can indeed fit in your pocket) but it contains a huge amount of useful information and guidance. Alice Washbourne has clearly knows this area well and the book is grounded in the key research about learners with English as an additional language. Important concepts are explained to the reader in a clear way. The great strength of the book...

More theory based rather than tips for teaching EAL. Wasn't impressed. Most of the tips are common sense and probably what you are doing anyway. I wouldn't recommend this book. Very disappointing.

The book was more EAL for English than anything else. If your subject requires a lot of writing then this book might be more useful to you in terms of providing practical and effective strategies to use for students with EAL
