Wow, what a straight forward and easy to follow book this is. Great ideas from start of project to finish, with clear images, and not full of difficult or ridiculously intricate rules. Following this book you could 'dress down' and 'refurb' anything at all to create a sort of french shabby used look very very easily. I have purchased some of her paint, but also went online both onto youtube and also websites which show in more detail how to do things (like the waxing - some good tips especially on youtube with people who use her products) and also to recreate a chalk based paint at a fraction of the cost, so once Ive finished with her products, I might try and make my own. Definately worth purchasing if you only purchase one book of this type.

Vey pleased with this practical step-by-step guide. Inspring photographs and ideas which can be uniquely adapted to your own projects. Particularly helpful on how to choose, use and blend colour and wax finishes.

I loved this book, her approach is no fuss, just get stuck In , often not any need for tedious sanding down.Couldnt wait to get the materials and start. I love the green approach, reviving old furniture, easily found in second hand shops - A book case and table need my attention, adieu

Suddenly nasty old bits of dark and dingy furniture are transformed into something light and pretty with the Annie Sloan paints. It gives them a new lease of life and costs very little. Out with old orange pine and in with the new!
