Nothing "new" in this vintage book. I fear I've seen it all before and done most of it. Sorry, it's a lovely book but just not very useful for me personally. I have similar patterns already which is why I said nothing "new" and I really do feel like it's all been done before. It is a nice collection of items to make if you are just getting interested in "vintage" but a lot of it is so easy to do without a pattern than it doesn't seem worth spending the money to learn how to sew squares together. OK for beginners.

Bit disappointed - will probably find the cushion instructions useful and I liked the clotheshanger cover but was expecting more drool-over things to be honest.

There are plenty of different and retro things to make. It's well illustrated too. There are lots of new ideas to spark your imagination.

This book has easy to follow instruction. I am hoping to make the rabbit and some of the other projects for Christmas presents.

I just love all these type of books where you can adapt the designs to suit your own ideas and thoughts.

Some interesting and unusual projects with clear, concise instructions. The illustrations are inspirational as are the choice of fabrics used. Nice for browsing through - have yet to try one of the projects but haven't had the book long enough to do so. My daughter picked it up and was so impressed she intends to order one for herself!!!

Having recently been reacquainted with my sewing machine and moving into a Victorian house, I had hoped to find good ideas for things to make for my house.

There are quite a few ideas but they are all very basic. This isn't a proper sewing book, no instructions on making proper Roman blinds or curtains using curtain tape, and no good pointers on how to accurately measure for your projects.

I would only recommend this to people looking for very rudimentary projects.

I really love this book and have found it totally inspiring. I have had so much joy in looking through thinking 'I'd really like that', then sitting down for an hour or so and making it! Fabulous gift ideas and for things around the home.

I love this book. The photos are beautiful and very inspiring. There are a varied range of projects from covering box files through to making a muslin canopy. There are detailed step-by-step instructions. The only reason that I have given 4 rather than 5 stars is that for a number of the items you actually require access to a photocopier & some large pieces of paper, as the templates require enlarging between 200% & 250% of their actual printed size
