4.0 out of 5 stars Sequel to Ravenwood equally good, 14 Aug 2012
This review is from: The Glass Forest (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed Ravenwood,Peters pacey eco adventure and have been looking forward to the sequel. The pace hots up as our hero Ark enters the green-deprived world of glass and machines in order to thwart their evil intentions to take over and destroy his beloved Aborium. Enter a new protagonist, Randall, female teen freeclimber extraordinaire and daughter of the evil Fenestra. It's good to bring a strong female charcater in the mix, but who's side is she on? and will they overcome the odds to protect the trees? Readers (aged 10?) would probably find it worth reading Ravenwood first but Glass Forest does also stand alone as an interesting blend of conservation, morality, friendship and high adventure.
