This book had it's publishing date pushed back and back, but I am glad I waited for it to hit the shelves. It's an interesting collection of photographs of a range of the early diesels. For anyone interested in that insane period of building weird and wonderful locomotives, as well as those that became the standard diesel fleet of BR it's well worth a read.

A brilliant look back and memory reminder of days spent as a school boy. A wide variety of liveries to see with great colour reproduction, certain to put a smile on your face as you are reminded of those long summer holidays which seemed to last forever. Fantastic pieces of machinery which in most cases have gone forever but are locked away in the memory archives.
