It's the official guide, so it's well done.
Has all the Unova pokemon, lots of detail for them, plus tips for the game
It doesn't include a game walkthrough, and doesn't have pokemon from the previous four generations in it.
You can manage without it - bulbapedia and other sites are fantastic free resources - but it's nice for a real pokefan to have.

This book is a perfect partner for the volume 1.
My daughter (4) loves this book, and "couldn't catch the pokemon without".

I bought this book recently, and it really helps! It may not have every Pokemon in it, however it is a fantastic guide!

Pokemon guides since the fourth generation have traditionally been split into two volumes: the main guide, with a walkthrough and movelists for the Pokemon available in that generation; and a second volume with a complete Pokedex, item lists, strategies and a guide for everything after the Elite 4. This guide doesn't have much of that.

There's no guide for anything that opens up after beating the Elite 4, which is inexcusable considering there's several towns including one which has some hard-to-work-out mechanics. The Pokedex only has the Black/White Pokemon, which is mind-boggling considering there's old Pokemon in the game too. It also has an indepth guide to the Xtranciever which would have been useful in the last volume, and devotes many, many pages to catching just the 156 Pokemon from Black/White. But at least the item indexes are complete.

I feel cheated having bought this for £10, never mind the RRP of £14.99. To get both volumes new would cost £30, as much as the game, and you don't even get all the info. If you really want to catch them all, you'd be better off printing an internet guide.

Volume 2 for Pokemon Black/white is great! I would give it 5 stars as it helped me so much with my game. It contains a map of the Unova region for you to use as well as a full Pokedex of all pokemon available to catch complete with the evolution methods and areas the are found.. It identifies all the hidden features of the game and lets you in on all the cool wireless and internet features available. The guidance it gives is such a help. It also tells you what to do and what to expect after the completion of the main story. This is awesome as you can prolong your game for ages! It also tells us of the new pokemon and places that appear at main story completion. Very Good. Pokemon Gamers should Buy!

I recently recieved this book in the mail and it is very helpful, I am an avid pokemon fan and find these guides helpful, I just people would stop whining about the book because it says at the top of the book "Offical Unova pokedex& Guide" which in myopinion is quite self explanatory in itself; It is obvious that it doesn`t show the other 395 pokemon; this is a whole new region where there is no Jhoto, Kanto, Honne and Sionnh(Sp?) region pokemon; so why would the guide show you where they are? to get most the pokemon you have to trade mostly from the other pokemon games (SoulSilver,Heartgold,platinum,Diamond and pearl) you can also aqquire some from the white forest in pokemon white. A great buy and will definetly help me towards getting another black trainer card!!!

This book/guide covers exactly what it says on cover. All if the Unova pokemon (Generation V) are covered, but I assumed like other 'big' Pokedex' it would include all Pokemon to date. The book did help in relation to Pokemon location/stats etc. About 60% of the book is only relevant to Wi-Fi features in the game which was useless to me. Still, a good addition to my Pokemon guides and worth the price.

My sons love this book!
It arrived quickly and has kept my 2 Pokemon fans entertained for hours.
The book is set out like a manual and so is very thorough in everything to do with Pokemon Black & White.
My sons use it as they are playing the Pokemon games for tips to catch the Pokemon.
The only thing I would say though is that for early readers/ younger children they will need lots of support in reading the book!

A really nice detailed pokedex with everything that you would like to know about all the pokemon in Unova region but...thats it!I thought that when I read pokedex and GUIDE it meant a guide for the game,but apparently by guide it means help to catch all the pokemons,how to evolve them,abilities and all the details around them(moves,natures,TM's,HM's,group eggs etc).
Also you can find all the info you need around pokemon global link,wireless,online,pokemon battle frontier,battle subway strategies,musical strategies.
Really nice quality as previous pokemon guides but if you want a guide about the game you should probably buy volume 1.

Got this for my son who is a bit obsessed by the pokemon series. He has got plenty of info from it and spends ages searching through it.
I thought it was a bit expensive.
