4.0 out of 5 stars Small book - Big help
This is a tiny book (11.2 x 8.1 x 1.3 cm) with a tiny price but it certainly punches above it's weight. Written by Steve Luck who has many books to his name, this is well produced with excellent colour photographs and is very informative. Whilst it covers the range of Nikon DSLRs, obviously not every function is applicable to every camera but it is quite clear using...

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful field guide
I should have realised that this was not a full format guide as that would defeat the object of being able to carry it easily in your pocket. However, I cannot see it replacing my Nikon Field Guide published by another author & also sold by Amazon. It lacks sufficient detail and I would have expected to see double the number of pages in this small format to make it more...

This is a tiny book (11.2 x 8.1 x 1.3 cm) with a tiny price but it certainly punches above it's weight. Written by Steve Luck who has many books to his name, this is well produced with excellent colour photographs and is very informative. Whilst it covers the range of Nikon DSLRs, obviously not every function is applicable to every camera but it is quite clear using common sense which parts apply to your model and I have had no problems with that. Being a keen amateur (I own the D3000) I have found this to be a very useful and portable resource.

This is a great value purchase that now has a permanent place in my camera bag.

It's nice information, but it's outdated info and the booklet is very small in size. Probably .5 size type.
Thanks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Camera Bag, 26 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Nikon D-SLR Shooting Modes: Camera Bag Companions 5 (Paperback)
So many condensed Photo books claim to be 'compact' or 'pocket' but are often nothing of the sort. This little gem is perfect for slipping into your pocket or camera bag. It contains just enough of the basic shooting modes on Nikon DSLRs to provide quick and helpful reference tips whilst out in the field. And the bonus is it only costs the same as a Starbucks Coffee. Ace!

4.0 out of 5 stars Camera bag companion...., 5 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'd have preferred it if the camera bag companion had been 25, blonde with a captivating smile...but...I had to make do with an 'E' download instead. The companion is an essential piece of reading full of tips and advice about the D3100 and it's shooting modes. very usefull.

I like this book due to its size and that it is packed with lots of information, whether you already know this info or want to look up something, it is there at your fingertips. It is well written and travels with me on most photographic journeys. Good value for money.
