After my Dad read, and thoroughly enjoyed, it he passed it on to me. Sure enough I've found it very well written, extremely interesting, informative and very much an account that makes you feel you're...

Not very often that you get your hands on a book and then find yourself totally engrossed....page after page of enjoyable reading from a (then aged) 21 year old Lancaster pilot...The lives, losses, loves and very 'near misses'
For me,simply one of the best "Aviation Books"

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Read, 11 Jan 2013

This review is from: Ghosts of Targets Past: The Lives and Losses of a Lancaster Crew in 1944-45 (Paperback)
I spoke to the author of this book, and regrettably didn't buy it off him there and then!

Amazing story, written in his own words. Really keeps you involved all the way through and some very dramatic, emotional and exciting periods within. If you like action, planes, a bit of romance and travel, this is the book for you. Very very good.

And I'm not normally a reader,

A tremendous amount of research went into the writing of this book. It is meticulously written and isa tribute to the author, the Lam]ncaster and the crews who flew her during the war. A good read for hose interested in WW2 in the air.
