An interesting and rewarding introduction to art of relaxion techniques.
The descriptions and illustration are easy to follow and I found them to be benificial in a verv short period of time. I would recommend this
book to any one who has difficulty in relaxing.

Hehe...can`t help it, I just bought this book for £0.01p, yep, 1 pence plus £2.80 p&p, now one can`t complain there ... Anyway, to the book itself, I suppose it could be seen as a form of Ch`i Gong, but with one difference, if practiced systematically as suggested in the book it will eventually lead to extremely deep states of physical and thus mental relaxation, leading to quite some advanced mental states to be found in the Mahamudra tradition of Buddhism. Of course one does not have to go that far, but if one does, them be prepaired for a wonderful & exciting journey, for as this book openly states, one of the purposes of these exercises is as a preparation for meditation ... don`t forget to enjoy the journey as well though AND, don`t underestimate where this book could take you, there`s a lot more to it than initially seems, and I say this as a Buddhist of over 30 years. For those interested in a holistic approach to personal well-being on a daily, practical basis, this book is highly recommendable. It introduces the ancient Tibetan discipline of Kum Nye - its origin, underlying philosophy and techniques - in a way that is easily understandable and warmly personal in tone.
The book is beautifully presented, thoughtfully organized, and clearly illustrated using photographs. It gives detailed, precise instructions for breathing exercises and yoga, as well as self-massage techniques. It offers guidelines and specific practical exercises from absolute beginner to more advanced levels, allowing the reader to choose the elements which best suit their individual needs.
This is a treasure of a book to refer to again and again as you progress at your own natural pace, and is relaxing and pleasurable to read, written as it is in an authentic, compassionate tone by an author who truly knows how to communicate the essence of this art.
