4.0 out of 5 stars Good contemporary guide, 12 May 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Itchy Edinburgh 2001 (Itchy City Guides) (Paperback)
If your tastes are contemporary, there is a new series of city guides which focuses on streetwise culture, by-passing the traditional tourist sites and highlighting the new leisure activities of shopping, dining and clubbing. It even has a section on recommended takeaway food, and identifies where you can find PVC and leather souvenirs of your visit (Whiplash Trash in Cockburn Street, if you're interested)! The Itchy Guide can definitely slip into the pocket of the sleekest Armani jeans or Burberry bag and lists the venues to see or be seen in around the city.
