This review is from: Four Tales of the Northlands: AND Nogmania (The Sagas of Noggin the Nog) (Paperback)
Brilliant. Everything you loved about the old TV shows and more: the beautiful story telling of Oliver Postgate and the peerless illustrations of Peter Firmin. The Sagas of Noggin the Nog contains the first few stories that are also in the little hardback books, the same text but all new illustrations - worth getting just to see the new drawings which give a different spin on the original tales. Nogmania is a marvellous Heath-Robinsonesque take on the lives of the Nogs - the gentlest Viking tribe that history never recorded. These guys were the Powell and Pressburger of British Children's TV. We will not see their like again.

Excellent stories for a little boy of 5 years who loves stories and is interested in make believe and wildlife.
