This textbook for learners of English as a second/foreign language (ESL/EFL) is designed for students, teachers, pastors and lay persons with a view to developing confidence in reading theological publications written in English.
Presupposing a high-intermediate to advanced level of English, this book seeks to help with the acquisition of academic theological vocabulary together with a working knowledge of key theological doctrines. There is also some focus on strategies for reading complex academic articles and skills for understanding difficult points of grammar.
Chapters are generally very well set out with good-sized portions of theological texts for reading practice. Of great interest are the appendices and, in particular, the ones which list details of useful biblical and theological resources as well as those tools more relevant to ESL/EFL learners. A Teacher's Guide is also available and this would tend to suggest that this textbook is best used in the classroom situation. However, for a dedicated student, it would be possible to benefit from this resource even if working alone.
If you are a ESL/EFL theology student or teacher, this textbook is worth a look. More details are available at [...].

This is an excellent textbook which is aimed at moderate - advanced theology students or for personal growth in further understanding Church sermons. It is easy to follow either in a group or individually. The activities are brilliant and really aide learning. This book would be great for international students, giving them a kick start to understanding many of the subtleties already associated with Theology within the english language.
A must have for all English 2nd Language speakers .
