This book ~ this book got me through final fantasy X where I have never completed a single Final Fantasy game before. It is beautifully layed out and high quality, a piece of artwork in it's own right XD. It has the solution to every puzzle you can think of, and points out those you never even *did* think about, allowing you to realise the real Final Fantasy X experience. Cleverly written it gives away nothing of the storyline, not a glimmer of a spoiler anywhere, meaning that you are left determined to carry on this spectacular game in order to find out what happens next.
The most useful thing about this book I think is the secret aeons and dark aeons advice and guide, as well as the celestrial weapons which (otherwise) i woud have had no clue about at all! Also, the lists of monsters for the monster arena, overdrive techniques, and stragedy guide for boss fights (detailing boss weaknesses, likely attacks, recomeneded weapons and armour and handly white magic spells.... etc) So basicaly... everything about this guide is great buy it ~ if you want the full experience of this great game! (without it ~ you'll miss all the fun parts!)

This is easily the most comprehensive guide available for FFX,
Covers every aspect of the game with maps, descriptions, explanations of how to win each Boss battle, FAB. Blitz strategies as well. Detailed explanations on every secret in the game: Hidden Aeons - Anima & Yojimbo - The Dark Aeon locations and how to defeat them - Penance (1m x Harder the the end boss)
All in full colour and split into sections to make it reader friendly, a must for FFX fans. I only hope FFX-2 Guide lives up to this, hats off to Piggyback

the book has everything that you need in order to complete the game 100%.it has a bit of background on the charactors and aeons.a bit on blitzball and the sphere grid.the reviews by others say that it deos'nt have rikku's mix table at all but it deos have a bit.then it geos into the walkthrough which is explained very well(especilly the damn cloister of trials) and it includes maps which is very heipful in finding the items.and then there is the secrets section which shows the weapons and armour for each person, beastery, blitzball, dark aeons, and finally the battle arena in the calm lands although it deos'nt go into enough info. but it's enough to get and defeat the creatures.GET THE BOOK IT RULES.

A must if you want guides on minigames and guides to beating bosses (although finding your way around isn't hard). It will take you step by step through each situation without leaving anything out and will make each temple seem a brease ecspecially bevelle. This is one final fantasy guide you can not do without.

This guide contains information on almost everything you can do in Final Fantasy X.
It has a good layout, the sections are split up clearly and it is very detailed. I found it very useful when playing the game (especially the strategy guides for the bosses and the secrets chapter).
Some things such as a full list of Rikku's overdrive combinations are not included (although it does give you the URL where you can view the full list), but it is hardly a cause for concern.
I'd highly recommend it.

when i first bought the review i wasnt sure if it was going to be good or bad. thankgood i bought it. i was stuck on the 3rd cloyster of trials and i was geting so annoyed. but this guide gave me a complete walkthrough about how to do them. it also told me how to get the secret item in each temple wich u need to get a secret aeon at the end. the book has around 225 pages of of everything u could need. it tells u every item u can get, shows every ability for each character, gives tips on how to get extra items, has info on all the monsters and there stats like hp,ap,and weaknesses,it tells u all the secrets and how to get the secret aeons and the most important thing it has around 80 pages of the walkthriugh wich tells u were to go, how to beat the boss's, gives acasional tips and tells u wat the best weopans are to equip. i could say a hole lot more but i wouldn't be able to fit it in. the only bad thing is i think they have way to much info in this book. if u have final fantasy x this is an absolute musthave.

This is by far the very best guide I have ever seen. Publisher Piggyback have a history of making excellent guides and this one is no exception. The art direction, high quality materials and superbly written notes and explanations are of the highest standard in this industry.
The map, details, walkthrough and secrets are all present. With this guide you cannot miss a single thing.
Although Rikku's mix tables are not included, one of the best features about this guide is that it tells you how to complete the Trials - puzzles that I know would take me forever to solve.
If you are considering buying the game then buy this book - its not FFX without it.

What can I say? This book is by far the best strategy guide I have ever read. The quality of writing and explanations by Brady Games is absolutely fantastic.
This book has absolutely everything you could ever need to know about Final Fantasy 10, and then a bit more. It is broken down into categories such as Walkthrough, Items, Monsters and Secrets. The Walkthrough section is by far the most useful walkthrough I have read, whilst it does not include any spoilers to ruin the game. The secrets chapter is fantastic and provides more than enough information on secret aeons, celestial weapons etc. There is also a handy section on how to play blitzball which I found useful, as it's a rather complicated game. One problem is that a Mix table for Rikku's overdrives is not included however a link on the internet for it is provided... so not a problem at all, really.
The book is presented in nice, thick, glossy pages with full colour just for that extra touch. This book is an essential companion to the game and if you plan on buying the game, you MUST (I cannot stress this enough) buy this guide.
I would award this 6 stars but amazon.co.uk does not allow me to do so...

I was stuck at a battle at the start of the game so i thought i'd send away for the book as i'd never get through it myself. When it arrived i was amazed how thick it seemed and when i started reading through it i realised how great it was. Now i'm working my way through the game :-D Buy the book if you want to complete the game 100%. You have no chance on your own!
