Borders Review in Latest Homes, Brighton
Three years old and still no signs of teething troubles. The guide is fresh and informative about all things Brighton and Hove. Even about things we thought we knew about - restaurants, bars, theatre, kids, sport and a lot more besides. Well set out, conveniently sectioned and small enough to carry around, Juicy Guide is a necessity for all year round.

Pity the reviews haven't been updated
I bought the first juicy guide when it came out, and having recently moved to Brighton found the reviews helpful if a little one-dimensional. This review is from: The Juicy Guide to Brighton and Hove (Paperback)
I bought the first juicy guide when it came out, and having recently moved to Brighton found the reviews helpful if a little one-dimensional. Things change pretty quickly in this town and so a couple of months ago I decided to buy the 'completely updated' recent edition. I was very disappointed to discover that most of the reviews were identical word-for-word to the original - for example one unfortunate restaurant was still being criticised for the over-enthusiastic use of table polish that had occurred on a single visit to the place two years ago. Neither fair nor very helpful I think. Also given the title of the guide, practically no attention is paid to Hove, notably the absence of reviews for Latino and La Piazza, two of the busiest restaurants that side of the statue. In conclusion, a useful guide to an interesting city but I wouldn't bother buying the latest copy if you already have the original.
